Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has left for the United Kingdom on his first official overseas visit since taking charge as Chief Minister. The visit is focused on attracting investments and strengthening Tamil Nadu’s engagement with global businesses.

Vijay is scheduled to meet industrialists and potential investors during the visit to showcase Tamil Nadu as an investment destination. The trip comes after the state recently announced major investment commitments from companies across sectors.
The Chief Minister is also expected to participate in investment-related programmes and discussions aimed at generating new business opportunities and employment in Tamil Nadu.
The UK visit marks an important step in Vijay’s efforts to build international economic partnerships and position Tamil Nadu as a competitive destination for global investment.
The trip is scheduled as part of Vijay’s September 10–16 overseas programme, with the Chief Minister expected to return to Tamil Nadu after completing the engagements.
