Indian consumer electronics brand Mivi is set to enter the smartphone market with its first 5G smartphone in India, expanding beyond its popular audio products.
The company confirmed through an official post on X that it will launch the new smartphone in September. Mivi also revealed that the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.
Mivi Smartphone Expected Under ₹15000
According to a report, Mivi’s first smartphone could be priced below ₹15,000 in India.
The upcoming device is also expected to be one of the few smartphones in this price range to feature a Snapdragon processor.
Mivi has released a teaser showing the phone in a green colour option. The device appears to have a flat rear panel and a flat frame with rounded edges.
The teaser carries the tagline Pretty Powerful, which may refer to the Snapdragon chipset powering the smartphone.
More specifications and details are expected to be announced by the company ahead of the September launch.
Mivi Expands Beyond Audio Products
Mivi is an Indian consumer electronics brand best known for its audio products, including Bluetooth speakers, true wireless stereo earbuds, soundbars and home theatre systems.
The smartphone launch marks a major expansion for the company as it enters the competitive Indian smartphone market.
Mivi follows other Indian brands entering the smartphone segment, including smartwatch maker Fire-Boltt, which recently launched the Boltt Ace 5G and Boltt Evo 4G smartphones.
