Indian cinema is set for one of its biggest cinematic spectacles with Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, which has emerged as the country’s most expensive film project with a reported budget of around ₹4,000 crore. The two-part epic stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita.
The massive investment is expected to cover high-end visual effects, global production standards, music, and an extensive worldwide release strategy. The scale of the project has drawn comparisons with some of the biggest international cinematic productions.
Adding to the buzz, reports suggest that the film’s lead actors are commanding significant fees, with Ranbir Kapoor and Yash among the highest-paid members of the ensemble cast.
