Dalmia Bharat has started work on its second manufacturing unit in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, with an investment of ₹3,100 crore. The foundation stone for the new facility was laid in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications Nara Lokesh and Dalmia Bharat Managing Director and CEO Puneet Dalmia.

The upcoming integrated manufacturing facility is designed to produce one of the world’s greenest cements and will strengthen Dalmia Bharat’s presence in southern India. The project is part of the company’s expansion plans announced in 2025.
Scheduled to be commissioned by the third quarter of FY28, the Kadapa unit will become Dalmia Bharat’s largest integrated manufacturing facility in South India. The plant will have a clinker production capacity of 6.1 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) and cement manufacturing capacity of 9.6 MTPA.
The facility is expected to generate around 1,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities while supporting local communities and strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s industrial ecosystem.
Nara Lokesh welcomed Dalmia Bharat’s continued investment in the state and said the project would help create jobs, empower communities and contribute to Andhra Pradesh’s vision of technology-driven and sustainable industrial growth.
Puneet Dalmia said Andhra Pradesh has emerged as one of India’s most investment-friendly states due to transparent governance, policy stability and improving infrastructure. He added that the new facility reflects the company’s long-term goal of transforming cement manufacturing through low-carbon technologies and sustainable practices.
Dalmia Bharat aims to establish the Kadapa plant as a next-generation manufacturing hub with improved efficiency, advanced technology and environmentally responsible production methods.
The company is also a global leader in sustainability initiatives, becoming the first cement company worldwide to commit to RE100, EP100 and EV100 programmes. Through the new facility, Dalmia Bharat plans to continue working with government authorities and local communities to support inclusive development in the region.
