TruAlt Bioenergy has secured approval for ₹150 crore in financial assistance under the Government of India’s PM JI-VAN Yojana for its proposed Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project at Bagalkot, Karnataka. The support has been approved by the Centre for High Technology under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

The commercial-scale facility is planned with an annual production capacity of 10 crore litres of SAF. The financial assistance is expected to cover around 7–10% of the project’s capital expenditure, improving its viability and accelerating execution.
The project aligns with India’s sustainable aviation roadmap and the country’s planned SAF blending targets, helping reduce aviation-sector emissions while strengthening domestic production of advanced biofuels.
The funding marks a significant step in TruAlt’s diversification beyond ethanol into next-generation clean fuels and supports India’s broader energy security and decarbonisation goals.
