Noida International Airport has officially commenced commercial operations, marking a significant milestone in India’s aviation infrastructure journey. The airport welcomed its first commercial flight operated by IndiGo, which arrived from Lucknow.

Located in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, the airport is expected to ease congestion at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport while serving the growing passenger and cargo demand across the National Capital Region (NCR).
The launch represents a major step toward creating a multi-airport system for the Delhi-NCR region. Once fully developed, Noida International Airport is expected to become one of India’s largest airports, with the capacity to handle millions of passengers annually.
The airport is also expected to boost regional economic development by improving connectivity, attracting investments, strengthening logistics networks, and generating employment opportunities across Uttar Pradesh and neighboring regions.
With commercial operations now underway, airlines are expected to gradually expand their services from the airport, enhancing domestic and international travel options for passengers and businesses alike.
