Global consumer healthcare company Haleon, known for brands such as Sensodyne, Crocin, Eno and Centrum, has announced an investment of around ₹2,000 crore to set up its first manufacturing facility in India. The project marks the company’s largest manufacturing investment in the country so far.

The new greenfield plant will be located at Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh and will be Haleon’s first owned manufacturing facility in India as well as its first oral-care manufacturing site in South Asia. The facility will strengthen local production, improve supply-chain resilience and support exports to multiple international markets.
Spread across more than 40 acres, the project is aligned with the Government of India’s Make in India initiative. The company expects the investment to create around 500 direct jobs while also generating indirect employment through local suppliers and support industries.
Haleon considers India one of its fastest-growing markets globally and sees the country playing a major role in its ambition to reach one billion additional consumers worldwide by 2030. The company also plans to use the facility as a manufacturing and export hub for markets across Asia and beyond.
The facility is expected to become operational over the next few years and will help expand access to Haleon’s healthcare products while deepening the company’s long-term commitment to India’s growing consumer health market.
