India exported components worth ₹35,000 crore to China during the last financial year, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, underscoring India’s increasing integration into global manufacturing supply chains.

The minister noted that the exports demonstrate India’s growing capabilities in component manufacturing and its rising importance in international production networks.
The statement comes amid the government’s continued push to strengthen domestic manufacturing through initiatives such as Make in India, Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes, and investments in electronics and advanced manufacturing sectors.
India has been focusing on expanding its presence in high-value manufacturing segments, including electronics, semiconductors, telecom equipment, automobiles, and industrial components.
Despite geopolitical tensions and efforts to diversify supply chains, trade between India and China continues to remain significant across several industrial sectors.
Industry experts say the export figures highlight the increasing competitiveness of Indian manufacturers and the country’s ability to serve as a key supplier within global value chains.
The government has been encouraging companies to expand local production, boost exports, and reduce dependence on imports while positioning India as a major global manufacturing hub.
The ₹35,000 crore component export figure is also seen as an indicator of growing opportunities for Indian firms in international markets as supply chains continue to evolve.
