Radha Vembu has emerged as India’s richest self-made woman while remaining one of the country’s most low-profile technology billionaires. According to recent rankings, the Zoho co-founder has an estimated wealth of over ₹55,000 crore.
Radha Vembu is a key stakeholder in Zoho Corporation, the globally recognised enterprise software company known for products in email, cloud computing, and business management solutions. Reports suggest she owns nearly 47.8% of the privately held company, a significantly larger founder stake than many Silicon Valley tech executives who diluted ownership through multiple funding rounds.

Founded in 1996 as AdventNet alongside her brother Sridhar Vembu and other co-founders, Zoho followed an unusual growth strategy by avoiding major external investments and focusing on long-term profitability and product development. Analysts say this independent approach allowed the company to retain control while steadily expanding into global markets.
Despite her massive wealth, Radha Vembu rarely appears in public interviews or media events. She currently contributes to Zoho’s product operations, particularly Zoho Mail, while also supporting philanthropic initiatives related to education, women’s empowerment, and rural development.
Industry observers say her story stands out in the global tech industry because it challenges the traditional Silicon Valley model built around aggressive fundraising and public visibility. Instead, Zoho’s growth has become an example of sustainable, research-driven, and founder-controlled entrepreneurship emerging from India.
