V. D. Satheesan was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Kerala at a grand ceremony held at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath of office in the presence of thousands of people who had travelled from across the state to witness the historic occasion. The stadium and surrounding areas were packed with supporters, turning the venue into a sea of people and creating an atmosphere of celebration and anticipation.

Among those present were Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Siddaramaiah, Revanth Reddy, K. C. Venugopal, and Pinarayi Vijayan. Although there had been reports that Vijay would attend, he was not present at the function.
The new Council of Ministers includes senior leaders from the Indian National Congress, the Indian Union Muslim League, and key allies from the United Democratic Front. Prominent Congress leaders sworn in as ministers include Ramesh Chennithala, Sunny Joseph, K. Muraleedharan, Bindu Krishna, A. P. Anil Kumar, P. C. Vishnunath, M. Liju, Roji M. John, T. Siddique, O. J. Janish Kumar, and K. A. Thulasi.
From the Muslim League, ministers include P. K. Kunhalikutty, P. K. Basheer, K. M. Shaji, N. Shamsudheen, and V. E. Abdul Gafoor. Representatives of coalition partners also joined the ministry, including C. P. John, Shibu Baby John, Anoop Jacob, and Mons Joseph.
