Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to sign multiple agreements with the United Arab Emirates during his upcoming visit, focusing on LPG supply, petroleum cooperation, and strategic oil reserves.

The discussions are expected to strengthen India’s long-term energy security strategy as the country seeks stable fuel supplies amid global geopolitical tensions and volatile crude oil markets. Officials say energy cooperation remains a key pillar of the India-UAE strategic partnership.
Reports suggest the agreements may include expanded LPG sourcing arrangements, collaboration on petroleum storage infrastructure, and enhanced cooperation in crude oil reserves management. Analysts believe such partnerships are critical for India, which imports more than 80% of its crude oil requirements.
The UAE has emerged as one of India’s most important energy and investment partners in recent years, with both countries also increasing collaboration in renewable energy, logistics, infrastructure, and trade.
Experts say stronger India-UAE energy ties could help India diversify supply sources, improve fuel security, and reduce vulnerability to global supply disruptions while strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.
