Hospitality group Ennismore, in partnership with Accor India and InterGlobe Hotels, has announced the signing of The Hoxton Bengaluru City, marking the brand’s first property in India. The hotel is scheduled to open in November 2026.

The property will be located on Richmond Road in Bengaluru, positioning itself in one of the country’s most active urban and commercial districts.
Design rooted in local character with global style
The hotel will feature 149 rooms across multiple categories, including Roomy and Biggy rooms, along with four premium HOMEY suites located on the upper floors. These suites, each about 55 square metres, are designed to offer panoramic city views.
The overall design approach focuses on a residential feel, blending local craftsmanship with modern, functional interiors and warm, understated tones.
Social spaces at the heart of the experience
Food and beverage outlets are set to play a central role in the hotel’s identity. The ground-floor lobby will function as an all-day dining and social space, designed for both guests and visitors. It will serve as a casual meeting point for work, dining, and social interaction.
On the rooftop, Fi’lia will operate as a poolside restaurant and bar, offering views of the Bengaluru skyline and marking its second presence in India.
Flexible spaces for meetings and events
The property will include a dedicated events concept called The Apartment. It will feature meeting rooms and a central pantry designed for smaller, private gatherings.
A separate event space will also be available, complete with pre-function and function areas, accommodating larger gatherings of up to 240 guests.
Focus on local culture and collaborations
The hotel plans to work closely with local creatives and brands through curated programming. This will include chef collaborations, rotating art displays under the Hox Gallery concept, retail experiences at the Hox Shop, and events spanning art, music, fashion, literature, and food.
Bengaluru chosen as first India location
Bengaluru’s reputation as an innovation and startup hub played a key role in the brand’s entry decision. Known for its mix of global outlook and strong local culture, the city is seen as a natural fit for a lifestyle-focused hospitality concept.
The hotel is expected to integrate closely with its surrounding neighbourhood, aiming to become part of the city’s everyday social and cultural activity.
Leadership view on India expansion
Gaurav Bhushan, Group CEO of Ennismore and Chairman of Accor India, said India represents one of the most promising hospitality markets globally, with growing demand for lifestyle-driven hotel experiences tailored to local preferences.
He noted that the company is building a pipeline of brands for India, including upcoming launches in Mumbai and other cities, while positioning Bengaluru as the natural starting point for The Hoxton.
Strong partnership backing the project
Aditya Pande, Group CEO of InterGlobe Enterprises, said the entry of The Hoxton marks a significant step in bringing design-led, global hospitality concepts to India.
He added that Bengaluru’s creative energy and international outlook make it a strong fit for the brand, and expects the hotel to set a new benchmark for urban hospitality in the country.
