Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), India’s largest private airport and duty-free operator, has partnered with MakeMyTrip, a leading online travel platform, to simplify and enhance duty-free shopping for international travellers.

As part of this collaboration, a new pre-booking system for duty-free purchases has been launched for both departure and arrival passengers. Travellers can now explore over 10 product categories, 100+ brands, and more than 14,000 SKUs through MakeMyTrip before their journey. The platform also offers exclusive online deals, allowing passengers to plan their shopping in advance.
The initiative is designed to shift shopping decisions to the travel planning stage, helping passengers avoid long queues and reduce time spent at airport stores. This also improves overall time management during the airport journey, from check-in to boarding and arrival.
AAHL currently operates duty-free outlets across major Indian airports including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Jaipur, and Thiruvananthapuram. MakeMyTrip continues to be one of India’s leading platforms for international travel bookings. Together, the two companies aim to offer a more integrated and convenient travel experience for Indian international flyers.
According to AAHL CEO Arun Bansal, the partnership brings greater convenience by allowing travellers to pre-plan purchases, save time at airports, and access curated offers, making the duty-free experience smoother and more efficient.
MakeMyTrip Co-founder and Group CEO Rajesh Magow said the collaboration aligns with the company’s “Connected Trips” vision, focusing on building a seamless end-to-end travel experience. He added that the service helps travellers plan better, make informed choices, and save money through advance bookings.
The duty-free pre-booking service will be available through the MakeMyTrip app and mobile web for eligible international travellers, with product pickup arranged at AAHL-operated airports. More features are expected to be introduced in future phases.
