N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, has said that the Tata Group follows a strict zero-tolerance approach toward any form of coercion or workplace misconduct. His statement comes after serious allegations of sexual harassment surfaced at Tata Consultancy Services’ (TCS) Nashik office.

He described the accusations as deeply distressing and concerning, adding that a detailed investigation is currently underway to uncover the facts and identify those responsible. According to him, the probe will be led by Aarthi Subramanian, the Chief Operating Officer of TCS.

Chandrasekaran further stated that strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty, along with necessary improvements to internal processes to prevent such incidents in the future. He also said that the company is treating the matter with utmost seriousness and has already initiated action against the accused employees, while fully cooperating with ongoing investigations.

Meanwhile, TCS has suspended all employees named in the case. Reports indicate that seven individuals, including an HR manager from the Nashik office, have been arrested following complaints of sexual harassment. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has also been formed by the police to examine the allegations in detail.

The case has also drawn attention due to claims made by eight female employees involving sexual harassment and forced religious conversion at India’s largest IT services firm.
