Major Siddharth Rathore (Retd) has carved a remarkable path from being a highly trained Para Special Forces commando in the Indian Army to becoming a security leader in the corporate world. Born in a small town in Rajasthan and influenced by his uncle Brigadier Saurabh Singh Shekhawat, Rathore chose one of the most demanding paths in the Indian Army, the Parachute Regiment Special Forces, where he became the first officer directly commissioned into the 12th Battalion.
For over ten years, he operated in environments that required sharp tactical decision-making, mental resilience and composure under pressure. His training encompassed modern warfare techniques, close-quarters combat and strategic operations that safeguarded national interests. Rathore viewed challenges such as para jumps and skydiving as tests of personal limits, discipline and resolve, qualities that are essential not only in elite forces but also in leadership roles.

After retiring from the Indian Army, Rathore transitioned seamlessly into the corporate security domain. He now serves as Deputy General Manager in Security at the Adani Group, headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In this role, he oversees the protection of vital corporate assets and provides strategic security leadership, including responsibility for the personal security of Chairman Gautam Adani. Rathore applies the same vigilance, strategic thinking and operational precision he cultivated in the military to ensure robust protection in the corporate sector.
Working alongside other veterans, Rathore ensures that the principles of discipline, situational awareness and tactical expertise continue to guide his team. Complemented by advanced management training from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, his story illustrates how military experience can equip leaders to excel far beyond traditional defence roles.
Major Siddharth Rathore’s journey underscores the transferable value of military ethos, inspiring defence aspirants and professionals by showing that commitment, resilience and leadership can open doors to impactful careers in diverse fields.
