In Punjab, a businessman has made headlines by gifting a Rs 1 crore Rolex watch to his contractor in appreciation of his outstanding work on a lavish 9-acre estate. Gurdip Dev Bath, who oversaw the project, praised contractor Rajinder Singh Roopra for his dedication to quality, timely delivery, and meticulous attention to detail, which inspired this generous gesture.

The luxurious watch, a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller, is crafted from 18-carat yellow gold and features a robust Oyster bracelet with gold links and a champagne-coloured dial.

The estate, located near Zirakpur, Punjab, resembles a modern fortress. Over two years, Roopra, hailing from Shahkot, managed a workforce of over 200 labourers daily to ensure the project was completed on time. Bath described the property as “not just a house; it’s a statement of grandeur, designed to reflect timeless elegance.”

Bath commended Roopra’s unwavering commitment to deadlines and exceptional attention to detail, noting that he exceeded the family’s expectations throughout the construction process. The design, created by architect Ranjodh Singh, includes a sweeping boundary wall, giving the estate a private fortress-like feel.
