Recently, a video went viral on social media, claiming that Bollywood actor Salman Khan issued a threat to Lawrence Bishnoi following the murder of senior politician Baba Siddique on 12 October. The video was widely shared alongside reports suggesting that Siddique’s murder was connected to his close ties with Salman Khan. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang even claimed responsibility for the killing, warning those associated with Salman Khan.

The Viral Video is Misleading

Channel IAM Fact Check investigated the viral claim and found it to be false. Our team began by conducting a keyword and reverse image search, which led us to the original source of the video. The viral clip is part of a much longer video that was uploaded on Salman Khan’s official YouTube channel on 22 May 2020. In this video, Salman Khan can be seen criticizing people who were violating COVID-19 lockdown rules at the time.

Further investigation revealed that NDTV and other media outlets had reported on this video back in April 2020. It showed Salman Khan urging people to follow lockdown regulations during the pandemic. His message had no connection to Lawrence Bishnoi or Baba Siddique’s murder.

Old Video Shared Out of Context

Salman Khan has not issued any recent public statements regarding Lawrence Bishnoi or Baba Siddique’s murder. The video being shared online is simply an old message from 2020 about COVID-19 lockdown violations.

Misleading Claim Exposed

Channel IAM Fact Check confirms that the viral claim is false. The video of Salman Khan threatening Lawrence Bishnoi is misleading and unrelated to the recent events surrounding Baba Siddique’s murder. The video in question was actually a message about following COVID-19 guidelines from 2020, now being falsely circulated as a recent threat.
