In the fast-charging segment, the Mantis Electric sports bike, provided by Orxa Energies, covers a range of 221 kilometers on a single charge. This product has entered the market through Bengaluru-based Boom Motors, known for its dense EV energy infrastructure.

The Mantis, weighing only 182 kilograms, boasts a sleek and aerodynamic design. With a powerful 1.3-kilowatt motor, it achieves a top speed of 135 kilometers per hour and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds. Impressively, it takes only 2.7 seconds to reach 20 km/h. Priced at INR 3.6 lakhs, this model stands out as one of the lightest in its category.

Orxa Energies, established in Bengaluru in 2015, has prioritized innovation and engineering excellence in crafting the Mantis. The company has rigorously tested the vehicle’s performance in various terrains, emphasizing its robust build and adaptability to diverse environments.

The Mantis is equipped with an 8.9 kWh battery, providing a range of 221 kilometers on a single charge. Orxa Energies has also incorporated advanced technology and features derived from its research in areas such as resistance, aerodynamics, and more.

Founded by Dr. Prajwal Sabnis, the company has been actively involved in shaping the EV landscape in the country, focusing on enhancing both the technical and consumer aspects. With collaborations like the Spare IT charging network, Orxa Energies is committed to delivering comprehensive services to its users.

The company offers a battery buyback scheme through its Battery Buyback Service, allowing users to receive up to 40% value for their old batteries. Orxa Energies ensures user convenience through the Spare IT charging station network and official service partners.

With Bolt’s high-speed charging station network and the expansive presence of the Mantis, Orxa Energies aims to contribute significantly to the growth of sustainable mobility in India.

The distribution of the electric bike is set to commence from April of the upcoming year.

The Mantis stands out as the first model in India to utilize a complete cast aerospace-grade aluminum frame. It features dual redundant thermal management with advanced Battery Management System (BMS), an IP67-rated battery case, a fully digital TFT dashboard, and a ground clearance of 180 mm, among other distinctive features.

Priced at just 3.6 lakhs INR, the Mantis is positioned as a premium electric bike in the sports category, offering formidable competition to the Ultraviolette F77, which is priced between 3.8 lakhs and 5.6 lakhs INR.
