The first range of electric mobility solutions by Zen Mobility has been announced.
The vehicles are ‘Zen Maxi Pod’, a multi-purpose four-wheeler, and ‘Zen Micro Pod’, a purpose-driven cargo three-wheeler. Both vehicles have been designed in a way to ensure comfort and convenience.
These Light Electric Vehicles (LEV) will provide better efficiency, productivity, safety, cost-effectiveness and durability. While the Micro Pod aims to address last-mile delivery concerns of riders and delivery partners, Maxi Pod is designed for both passenger commute and goods delivery.
Designed in Germany, the vehicles will be manufactured in India using locally-sourced materials. The Micro Pod will be out by 2023. The Maxi Pod will hit the market in the coming years. The customisable Micro Pod is powered by Zen’s patented EV Drivetrain technology. The Micro Pod has been certified by ARAI for various features such as drivability, manoeuvrability, durability, and performance. The chassis would be a combination of carbon fibre and glass fibre so that the EVs would offer a smooth driving experience.
