Google has made progress in the Avatar universe. The giant IT company has acquired Alter, a startup that creates avatars using artificial intelligence (AI). The search engine company reportedly closed this acquisition for $ 100 million (about Rs 824 crore). In order to construct their virtual identities, social media users can use Alter to create avatars using AI. To compete with competing platforms like Tiktok and increase its content, Google has made a huge deal out of it.
This deal was completed by Google roughly two months ago. But neither of the two businesses has made this information public. Some of Alter’s top executives have modified their LinkedIn profiles to indicate that they joined Google without agreeing to the acquisition, nevertheless.
