Air India is planning to acquire a 100% stake in AirAsia India
It has sought approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for the same
AirAsia India is majority-owned by Tata Sons Pvt Ltd
Tata Sons has a shareholding of 83.67 per cent
The remaining stake is with AirAsia Investment Ltd
The move must a part of the group’s efforts to consolidate its airline operations
Talace Pvt Ltd had lately acquired Air India and its low-cost subsidiary Air India Express
Talace Pvt Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt Ltd
