A new smart program has been developed to follow up and speed cases in Abu Dhabi criminal courts. The programme is a form of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It aims to increase the accomplishment rate and speed of adjudication of criminal cases. They are working on updating the programme to include electronic judgements. That is crimes that end either by conciliation or waiver and crimes that have passed the statute of limitations. The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department had in 2019 reported that judges started using AI systems to decide when – and for how long – criminals should be jailed.

UAE’s first used battery recycling centre to open in Ras Al Khaimah Royal Gulf Industries to invest Dh62.4 million in it. The modern lead acid battery recycling unit will be installed at Al Ghail Industrial Zone. The eco-friendly unit will provide jobs to more than 150 people. The facility will be ready by the fourth quarter of 2022. It aims to recycle up to 35,000 metric tonnes of used lead acid batteries annually. The Sagar Defense Engineering Company has manufactured the Varuna passenger drone for the Navy. The passenger drone can carry a payload of 130 kg including a passenger. Akasa Air is all set for take off on 7 August from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai. It’s first service is for Mumbai-Ahmedabad route. The airline will start services on the Bengaluru-Kochi route from August 13 And Bengaluru-Mumbai route from August 19. Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya M Scindia along with MoS General Vijay Kumar Singh (Retd.) will inaugurate Akasa Air’s Mumbai-Ahmedabad flight.
