Meta took action against 2.7 million people on Facebook and Instagram in July, the company said in its monthly transparency report. The company has taken steps to comply with the Information Technology (Intermediate Guidelines and Digital Media Code of Ethics) Regulations 2021 for 2.5 million posts on Facebook and 20,000 posts on Instagram. . India received the first vaccine against cervical cancer,Quadrivalent Human Papillomavirus Vaccine (qHPV). The vaccine will be launched by Jitendra Singh, State Minister for Science and Technology (Independent Officer) at IIC Delhi. India’s Director General of Drug Enforcement (DCGI) granted marketing authorization to the Serum Institute of India (SII) on July 12 to manufacture a domestically developed vaccine against cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women aged 15-44 in India. The Vaccine is developed by the Serum Institute of India (SII) and the Ministry of Biotechnology (DBT).

Japanese semiconductor maker Renesas, a global leader in microcontrollers, analog, power and SoCs, will acquire Indian fabless Steradian Semiconductors. Headquartered in Bengaluru, Steradian specializes in 4D imaging radar solutions. Capital flows to Indian start-ups fell for the fourth consecutive month to $1.27 billion in August, according to Tracxn data. While slow growth and late-stage companies have been underscored lately, even early- and seed-stage companies that were thought to have survived the fundraising winter are seeing lower deal volumes. The early-stage company received about $388 million in funding, while the seed-stage startup earned only $81 million in August. That fell short of $408 million and $161 million received in July respectively.
