Maruti Suzuki, India’s leading car manufacturer, has announced the nationwide launch of its compact-format NEXA service workshops in rural areas. The inaugural of six centers in Ateli, Charkhi Dadri, Bankura, Dahod, Nirmal, and Ooty marks the beginning of this initiative. These workshops are fully equipped with essential amenities such as a dedicated front office, customer lounge, service bay, and parking space, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.
Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, highlighted the increasing interest in NEXA offerings from both urban and rural areas, indicating a shift in consumer preferences. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Service at MSIL, emphasised that nearly 30-32% of customers originate from rural markets, reflecting the need for expanded services in these regions.
Maruti Suzuki aims to establish 100 such workshops by the end of the financial year 2024-25, demonstrating its commitment to serving customers in non-urban areas. Since its introduction in 2017, NEXA Service has grown to include over 390 service touchpoints, providing comprehensive support to customers across the country.
