This visit follows talks in June 2023 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with tech leaders like Tim Cook and Sundar Pichai in the US. The discussions focused on how technology, especially AI, can improve the lives of Indians. Microsoft’s subsequent statement reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the growth of Indian technology.
Sources suggest that Nadella will meet founders of Indian AI startups during his visit.
