Initiatives such as Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centres (IEDC) for colleges, Young Entrepreneurship Programme (YIP), and incubation and acceleration programs have collectively fostered a flourishing startup ecosystem in the state.
Startup Infinity Centres: A Global Footprint
The exchange of MoUs with Belgium and Australia marks a significant stride towards global collaboration. The Startup Infinity Centres, set to be established in Brussels and Australia, open up immense opportunities for Kerala’s enterprises to scale up operations and expand their market reach. The inclusive approach of projects like Startup Infinity emphasizes collaboration between local entrepreneurs, business leaders, and the global Malayali community, fostering innovation on a global scale.
Recognition and Achievements
The Chief Minister proudly shared that Kerala has consistently held the top position in India’s startup ecosystem rankings for the past three years. Moreover, KSUM secured the top position as a public business incubator in the UBI Global World Benchmark study in 2021-22, underlining its pivotal role in transforming the state into a thriving startup hub.

In line with their commitment to fostering innovation, the Chief Minister announced the initiation of work on establishing an “Emerging Technology Startup Hub” in the state capital. In a move to augment financial services for startups, an MoU was exchanged between KSUM and the State Bank of India (SBI). SBI Circle Chief General Manager, Smt Bhuvaneswari A, expressed the bank’s commitment to providing a wide range of banking and financial services to startups, enhancing their financial stability and growth.
