The much-anticipated worldwide release of superstar Rajinikanth’s movie ‘Jailer’ on August 10 has sparked a wave of excitement among fans in the Southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The film’s release date has led to a surge in leave requests from employees, prompting several companies to declare August 10 as an official holiday.

Companies Embrace Rajinikanth Fever

Two Tamil Nadu-based companies, UNO Aqua Care and SalemSurvey Group, have taken the unprecedented step of declaring August 10 as an official holiday. UNO Aqua Care has extended this holiday to its branches in various cities. The motivation behind this decision is not only to accommodate the fans but also to discourage piracy, a prevalent concern for movie releases. According to UNO Aqua Care, Rajinikanth is considered the “only superstar” across generations, making this gesture a tribute to his iconic status.

Similarly, SalemSurvey Group announced that the holiday would be applicable to its employees across multiple locations. In addition to the holiday, both companies have also gone a step further by offering free movie tickets to their employees, further fueling the anticipation for the film.

International Excitement for Rajinikanth

The fervor for Rajinikanth’s film extends beyond Indian borders. Two Sri Lankan nationals traveled to Chennai to catch the “First Day, First Show” of ‘Jailer’ and witness Rajinikanth’s performance as ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian. Additionally, Japanese nationals Yasuda and Satsuki arrived in Chennai from Tokyo, eager to join the Rajinikanth celebrations.

‘Jailer’ – A Star-Studded Affair

Directed by Nelson, ‘Jailer’ features an impressive cast including Rajinikanth, Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, and Tamil debutant Shiva Rajkumar. The film’s trailer created a storm on the internet, with fans flooding the comment section with their excitement. The movie is expected to be an action-packed entertainer, with notable appearances including a cameo by Malayalam actor Mohanlal.

As the release date approaches, the enthusiasm surrounding ‘Jailer’ continues to grow, underscoring Rajinikanth’s enduring popularity and his ability to unite people from different corners of the world.
