King Maha Vajiralongkorn, also known as King Rama X of Thailand, possesses a wealth and collection of opulence that rivals some of the world’s wealthiest individuals. His vast riches include a significant stake in Thailand’s Siam Commercial Bank and Siam Cement Group, making him one of the richest persons globally. The estimated wealth of Thailand’s royal family, including King Rama X, stands at more than USD 40 billion (approximately 3.2 lakh crore).

Extensive Property Holdings

King Rama X’s wealth lies in his vast properties spread across Thailand, totaling 6,560 hectares (16,210 acres). These properties include government buildings, malls, hotels, and thousands of rental contracts across the country, with a significant number in the capital, Bangkok.

A Dazzling Collection of Gems and Diamonds

The Thai King’s collection of luxury items includes a remarkable array of diamonds and gems. Among his crown jewels is the renowned 545.67-carat brown Golden Jubilee diamond, considered the world’s largest and most expensive diamond, estimated to be worth up to Rs 98 crore.

A Lavish Transportation Fleet

His Majesty’s fleet of transportation vehicles is equally impressive, boasting 38 aircraft, including 21 helicopters, comprising Boeing, Airbus, and Sukhoi Superjet planes. The maintenance cost for these aircraft amounts to a staggering Rs 524 crore annually. Additionally, King Rama X owns over 300 luxurious cars, including limousines and Mercedes Benz models, further adding to his extravagant collection. Notably, he also possesses a fleet of 52 boats, lavishly decorated with gold carvings, that accompanies his royal boat.

The Royal Palace

While the palace of the King of Thailand spans an area of 23, 51,000 square feet, it primarily functions as a site for government offices and museums. King Rama X chooses not to reside in the royal palace.

With an extraordinary assortment of assets and a lifestyle of opulence, Thailand’s King Rama X stands as one of the world’s wealthiest and most lavish monarchs.
