India’s first Made in India electric truck is ready in Gujarat. The electric truck is manufactured by Trinton Company based in Kheda district. The company is owned by Himanshu Patel, a Gujarat native settled in America.
The truck is designed for Indian conditions with 12 gears. The truck will have a range of 300 km if loaded up to 45 tonnes. The company has partnered with 16 companies for charging facilities. The truck also has an onboard charging facility. Trinton built its first truck in the US three years ago. The Made in India truck is also built on the same model. The company has taken bookings for 22,000 trucks so far and aims to manufacture 200 trucks in the first year.
