Bollywood actress Malaika Arora is a fitness freak. She often shares fitness tips with her followers on social media handles. A recent report says that Malaika has invested in the healthy dessert startup ‘Get-A-Way.’ The amount has not been disclosed. She will be the startup’s brand ambassador as well.
Founded in 2019 by Jash Shah, Pashmi Shah, and Jimmy Shah, Get-A-Way sells low-calorie, high-protein desserts. The product portfolio includes ice cream sandwiches, popsicles, ice creams, and kulfis.
With Malaika onboard, Get-A-Way plans to launch healthy desserts such as keto cheesecakes, and vegan gelatos. The startup also has plans to expand its manufacturing facilities and online and offline sales channels.
Earlier, Get-A-Way had received funding of Rs 1 Cr from Shark Tank India judges Aman Gupta, Ashneer Grover, and Vineeta Singh. A month ago, Biryani By Kilo invested $2 million to acquire a majority stake in the startup. The agreement allows Get-A-Way to use Biryani By Kilo’s distribution, supply chain, and management facilities.
