All COVID-19-related restrictions and safety precautions have been lifted by UAE authorities.

The prohibitions and safety precautions relating to COVID-19 have been lifted, the authorities announced.

Except in health facilities, facilities, and centres for people of determination, wearing a facemask will be optional in all open and enclosed locations, including mosques and places of worship.

The authorities stated that since personal carpet prayer is no longer required as of the decision’s activation date, they also proclaim its optionality in mosques and chapels.

According to the authorities, the Al-Hosn application will only be able to provide proof of vaccination records and test results from within and outside the nation upon request. Hence, a green pass is not needed to enter a public space.
