According to TikTok’s most recent Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, between April and June of this year, the platform erased nearly 5 million videos from Bangladeshi users. The most recent report includes data for the months of April, May, and June, which make up the second quarter of 2022. According to the research, Bangladesh had a proactive removal rate of 99.2% throughout this time, removing a total of 4,974,838 films. According to TikTok, these videos were taken down for breaking community rules.

Prior to 24 hours after upload, 96.1% of videos were removed, and 96.3% were removed before receiving any views. The removal rate before 24 hours was 97.9% and the removal rate before any views was 95.8% in the prior quarter, January to March 2022. Despite the fact that there were much fewer videos taken from Bangladeshi users last year (3,475,456 videos, or just under 3.5 million), the proactive removal percentage was the same last quarter at 99.2%.

As seen, the number of videos removed from Bangladeshi TikTok users over the course of three months increased significantly, despite the removal rate before 24 hours showing a little decline. With these figures, Bangladesh comes in at number five on TikTok’s list of nations with the most videos taken down between April and June 2022. The US took first place with a staggering 17,968,670 films removed in this quarter, followed by Pakistan, Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
