The Indian government issues Work From Home (WFH) rules. Notified a new rule 43A in Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006. WFH is allowed for a maximum period of one year. It is applicable to employees in special economic zones Employees of IT/ITeS SEZ units are eligible for this. Those who are travelling, working off-site, or temporarily incapacitated too are eligible 50 per cent of total employees may use this. Those who are already working from home too can attempt. They have to seek approval within a transition period of 90 days.
