India had a great year with 54 unicorns.

Third highest

Overtaking the UK, India became a nation with the third highest number of unicorns. The first on the list are the US and China. “India is in the middle of a startup boom,” said Anas Rahman Junaid, MD and Chief Researcher at Hurun India.

Byju’s top unicorn

Countries with the most number of unicorns indicate a more dynamic economy. The most successful Indian unicorn is Byju’s valued at $21 billion. Byju’s, InMobi, OYO, Razorpay and Ola are among the top 100 unicorn.
