Harley-Davidson is preparing to strengthen its presence in the entry-level cruiser motorcycle segment with the Sprint 440, a new model developed in partnership with Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp. The motorcycle builds on the companies’ existing collaboration and is expected to expand their presence in the mid-capacity premium bike market.
The Sprint 440 is positioned as an accessible cruiser, bringing Harley-Davidson’s brand and styling to a wider group of motorcycle buyers. The partnership combines Harley-Davidson’s global brand and design expertise with Hero MotoCorp’s manufacturing and distribution network in India.

Expanding the 440cc Motorcycle Portfolio
The new motorcycle builds on the 440cc platform used by models developed under the Harley-Davidson–Hero MotoCorp partnership. The collaboration has already introduced motorcycles such as the Harley-Davidson X440 and Hero Mavrick 440.
With the Sprint 440, the companies are looking to widen their product portfolio and reach customers seeking a cruiser-style motorcycle in the entry-level premium segment.
Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp Partnership
The partnership between Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp was established to develop and sell premium motorcycles in India and other markets. Hero MotoCorp handles manufacturing, distribution and sales operations for the jointly developed products in India.
The collaboration allows Harley-Davidson to participate in a more price-accessible segment while leveraging Hero MotoCorp’s established presence in the Indian two-wheeler market.
The Sprint 440 adds another product to this partnership as competition intensifies in India’s mid-capacity motorcycle segment.
