Tata Electronics’ exports rose 29% to nearly ₹1 lakh crore in FY26, highlighting India’s growing role in Apple’s global manufacturing and supply chain. Three Tata Electronics entities together reported export revenues of ₹99,128 crore in the financial year ended March 2026, according to company filings with the Registrar of Companies.

The three entities are Tata Electronics, Tata Electronics Products and Solutions, formerly Pegatron Technology India, and Tata Electronics System Solutions, which was previously Wistron’s India business. Their combined exports stood at ₹76,953 crore in FY25, although the year-on-year figures are not strictly comparable because the former Wistron business reported a 15-month financial period that year.
US, Taiwan and Ireland Lead Exports
Taiwan was the largest export destination, accounting for ₹47,930 crore in shipments. Exports to the United States reached ₹38,508 crore, while Ireland accounted for ₹11,980 crore. Exports represented around 76% of the three entities’ reported production revenue.
The growth reflects Tata Electronics’ expanding role in iPhone manufacturing as Apple diversifies its production beyond China. The company has strengthened its position through the acquisition of Wistron’s India operations and its partnership with Taiwan’s Pegatron.
Revenue Grows, but Losses Widen
Despite the export growth, Tata Electronics reported a consolidated net loss of ₹1,611 crore in FY26, compared with a loss of ₹69 crore in FY25. Its consolidated operating revenue increased 96% to ₹1,29,902 crore, while domestic sales rose 46% to ₹30,182 crore.
The three entities’ combined foreign exchange outgo reached ₹1,29,641 crore, exceeding their export earnings. This points to continued dependence on imported components and other overseas expenses, although the reported outgo may also include licensing fees and other charges.
The figures highlight both the rapid expansion of electronics manufacturing in India and the challenges of building a deeper domestic component supply chain.
