St. Roch’s High School at Thope, Thiruvananthapuram, is set to receive a new Indoor Auditorium and Sports Hub, developed with support from the Adani Foundation under the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives of Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. The facility will be inaugurated on October 6, 2026.

The inauguration is scheduled for 5 pm. Minister for Sports & Youth Welfare, Registration and Archaeology O. J. Janeesh will inaugurate the facility, with Transport Minister C. P. John attending as Chief Guest.
The Adani Foundation has contributed a total of ₹80.66 lakh towards the project. This includes ₹67 lakh for building-related support and ₹13.66 lakh for sports equipment. The new facility is expected to provide students with better infrastructure for sports, physical activity and other activities that support their overall development.
The Sports Hub is part of the wider CSR initiatives being implemented by the Adani Foundation through Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. These programmes cover areas including education, community health, sustainable livelihoods, community development and climate action.
The airport’s education initiatives include support programmes for students, competitive examination coaching and evening education. Its community initiatives also include healthcare and vision-care camps, women’s livelihood programmes and infrastructure development.
The airport has also implemented a Water Positive Initiative at Aruvikkara in partnership with the Kerala Water Authority. The initiative included support worth ₹56.73 lakh through a weed harvester, an autonomous surface vehicle and waste-management equipment.
According to the airport, CSR initiatives undertaken and proposed under these programmes represent an investment of ₹3.27 crore. The airport has also proposed Corporate Environmental Responsibility activities worth ₹21.77 crore, subject to approval of its proposed master plan expansion.
The new Indoor Auditorium and Sports Hub adds to these community-focused initiatives and is expected to create better opportunities for students to participate in sports and physical activities. St. Roch’s High School, established in 1925, is a government-aided institution in Thiruvananthapuram with a focus on education and the overall development of its students.
