UAE-based sports and sports-tech consortium Al Fursan has agreed to acquire 100% ownership of Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters FC from Magnum Sports. The ownership transfer will take place in phases over eight months, subject to regulatory and league approvals.
Al Fursan is led by Sheikh Ahmad bin Faisal Al Qasimi and has links to Sharjah’s Al Qasimi ruling family. The new ownership will take charge of the club during the 2026-27 season, while Kerala-based sports management company Ofioh Sporty has been appointed as the operational partner.
Ashley Westwood will continue as Kerala Blasters’ head coach for the new season. The club will play its home matches at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, while the new management has also discussed plans for a dedicated stadium in the future.
The acquisition marks the end of Magnum Sports’ ownership of the club, which began in 2016. The new management has said preparations for the upcoming season are already underway, including player and staff recruitment.
