Avoiding a visit to the police station is now easier with Kerala Police’s official mobile application, POL-App. The app offers around 35 services, allowing citizens to access essential police services online.
Launched in June 2020, the app aims to make police services more accessible and convenient for the public. Its features include online complaint registration, FIR and Police Clearance Certificate downloads, and access to the official contact details of police stations and senior officers.
The app also offers safety features such as SOS alerts, Track My Trip for women and senior citizens travelling alone, and Locked House Information for those leaving their homes unattended during trips.
Users can report lost phones, SIM cards and documents, traffic violations, theft, violence and damage to public property. Other services include senior citizen assistance, tourist information, internet safety tips and details for blood donors and train passengers.
The SOS feature connects users to the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) for police assistance. Kerala Police says the app is designed for easy use and is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
The app has been downloaded by around 1.7 million users. Kerala Police has urged the public to download and use the app to access its services conveniently.
