Indian Air Force Squadron Leader Neha has achieved a major milestone at the Khardung La Challenge 72K, one of India’s toughest high-altitude ultra races.
She completed the 72-km race in 8 hours, 56 minutes and 15 seconds, finishing third overall. Her sub-nine-hour timing also made her the first non-Ladakhi woman in the event’s 13 editions to complete the course in under nine hours.
The Khardung La Challenge is known for its demanding high-altitude conditions, where runners have to deal with thin air, difficult terrain and extreme physical strain over a long-distance course.
The Indian Air Force congratulated Squadron Leader Neha for her performance, describing it as a remarkable feat of endurance. Her podium finish also highlights the growing participation of armed forces personnel in challenging endurance and adventure sports.
Neha’s achievement adds another notable milestone to the history of the Khardung La Challenge and showcases the physical preparation and endurance of Indian Air Force personnel.
