IndiGo has invested in Bengaluru-based artificial intelligence startup Sarvam as part of its plan to expand the use of AI across its airline operations.

The investment was made through IndiGo Ventures, the airline’s venture capital arm. The funding is aimed at using advanced AI technology to improve customer experience, employee productivity and operational decision-making.
₹30 Crore Investment in Sarvam
IndiGo Ventures has committed around ₹30 crore as part of Sarvam’s Series B funding round.
Sarvam raised around ₹698 crore in the funding round from several investors. IndiGo said the investment builds on its existing relationship with the AI startup.
IndiGo Ventures has previously invested in startups working in areas such as aerospace manufacturing and urban mobility.
AI Focus Across Airline Operations
IndiGo said AI is becoming increasingly important for the aviation industry and can help improve customer services, workforce productivity and operational decisions.
Through its partnership with Sarvam, IndiGo plans to explore AI solutions developed in India and adapted to the needs of the aviation sector.
The two companies will work on AI applications across customer experience, employee productivity and airline operations.
Successful solutions could eventually be expanded across IndiGo’s wider network.
The partnership is expected to combine Sarvam’s AI technology with IndiGo’s aviation expertise and large operational network, supporting the airline’s broader focus on technology, innovation and AI-led growth.
