APSEZ’s international ports business was the biggest growth driver during the quarter. Revenue from international ports increased 80% year-on-year to ₹1,747 crore, while EBITDA jumped 256% to ₹730 crore.
The growth was supported by strong performance from Australia and Colombo operations. International cargo volumes increased to 22.8 MMT during the quarter, helped by the addition of NQXT Australia and growth at Colombo.
Domestic Ports Continue Strong Performance
The company’s domestic ports business recorded 12% revenue growth, reaching ₹6,964 crore.
The growth was driven by higher cargo volumes, better product mix, and improved revenue generation. Domestic ports achieved an EBITDA margin of 74%.
APSEZ said its domestic port capacity stood at 653 MMT as of June 2026 and plans to increase it to 1,000 MMT by December 2030.
Marine Business Expands
APSEZ’s marine business reported 67% growth in revenue at ₹901 crore, supported by an increase in the number of vessels and expansion into global markets.
The company operated 135 vessels in Q1 FY27 compared to 118 vessels last year.
Logistics Business Remains Stable
The logistics segment faced some impact from the Middle East crisis, affecting rail volumes. However, trucking revenue grew 26% year-on-year, while International Freight Network revenue also increased.
Strong Ratings and Sustainability Focus
S&P Global Ratings upgraded APSEZ’s credit rating to “BBB” from “BBB-” with a stable outlook. CARE Ratings and ICRA also maintained the company’s highest domestic rating of “AAA”.
APSEZ also released a TNFD report, becoming the first Indian transport company to disclose its efforts related to nature and sustainability.
