Deepinder Goyal-backed health-tech startup Temple is reportedly preparing to launch its first consumer brain wearable, with reports suggesting the device could be priced at around ₹72,000. If accurate, the pricing would position Temple among the most premium health wearables available in India, targeting users interested in advanced brain health monitoring rather than conventional fitness tracking.
Unlike smartwatches and fitness bands that primarily measure physical metrics such as heart rate, steps, sleep, and blood oxygen levels, Temple’s wearable is being developed to monitor cerebral blood flow. Using sophisticated sensors placed around the temple region of the forehead, the device aims to capture signals related to brain activity and provide meaningful insights into cognitive health.

According to reports, the wearable is expected to help users understand aspects such as focus, mental fatigue, stress, recovery, and overall cognitive performance. The company is positioning the product as a neuroscience-driven health device that could eventually support preventive healthcare and performance optimization.
The wearable is being developed by Continue Research, a startup backed by Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal. The company has been working on the product for several years with the goal of making brain health monitoring more accessible outside research laboratories.
Reports indicate that Temple has entered the manufacturing phase and is preparing for a commercial launch in the coming months. However, neither the reported ₹72,000 price nor the launch timeline has been officially confirmed by the company.
If launched at the reported price, Temple would enter the premium wearable segment, competing less with traditional smartwatches and more with specialized health-monitoring devices. The launch could also mark one of India’s most ambitious attempts to bring advanced neuroscience technology to the consumer electronics market.
