Volvo Buses India has expanded its premium coach portfolio with the launch of the Volvo 9600 Seater-Sleeper, a new 15-metre luxury coach designed for long-distance intercity travel. The vehicle combines reclining seats and sleeper berths in a single platform, offering greater flexibility for fleet operators while enhancing passenger comfort.
The new coach is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), active safety technologies and connected features aimed at improving operational efficiency and road safety. It also includes premium onboard amenities such as a toilet and an integrated kitchenette, making it suitable for extended journeys.
Volvo says the 9600 Seater-Sleeper is designed to cater to India’s growing demand for premium intercity, tourism and pilgrimage travel. By combining globally proven engineering with features tailored for Indian road conditions, the company aims to raise the benchmark for luxury coach travel in the country.
