Private fuel retailer Nayara Energy has reduced petrol and diesel prices across its nationwide network, marking a notable shift after months of elevated fuel costs triggered by supply disruptions in West Asia.

The company has cut petrol prices by ₹5 per litre and diesel prices by ₹3 per litre, reversing part of the earlier hike that had pushed rates higher during the period of global supply uncertainty. The revised prices are now active across more than 7,000 Nayara fuel stations in India.
In Delhi, petrol at Nayara outlets now costs ₹105.71 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹94.31 per litre. The company said the revision reflects easing geopolitical tensions in West Asia and a softening of international crude oil prices, which have helped stabilise supply conditions.
This is the first fuel price reduction by any oil marketing company in India in nearly two years, making it a significant move in the retail fuel market. Earlier, Nayara had raised prices by as much as ₹10 per litre during the supply crunch caused by the regional conflict.
While Nayara has moved to reduce prices, public sector oil marketing companies have not made any changes to petrol or diesel rates. Final retail prices across India continue to vary depending on state-level taxes such as VAT.
