Saudi Arabia’s low-cost airline flyadeal has announced its first scheduled passenger services to India, marking a major expansion in its international network.
The airline will begin operations between Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport and Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport from July 1, 2026. This new route will officially introduce flyadeal as a scheduled carrier in the Indian market.
Sanjiv Kapoor, Acting Chief Executive Officer of flyadeal and Executive Vice President of Strategy at Saudia Group, said Hyderabad is the first step in the airline’s planned expansion into India. He highlighted the long-standing economic, cultural, and social ties between India and Saudi Arabia as the foundation for this move. He also confirmed that a second Indian destination will be added soon.
Although this is flyadeal’s first scheduled route in India, the airline has previously operated charter flights to the country, mainly for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims traveling to Mecca via Jeddah.
The new Hyderabad service will be operated using Airbus A320neo aircraft configured with 186 all-economy seats.
