India and South Korea have taken a major step in space collaboration by launching a joint partnership during a high-level summit in Bengaluru, reinforcing their growing strategic ties.

The initiative builds on a memorandum of understanding between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA), aimed at expanding cooperation across the space sector.
A key highlight was the “Korea–India Space Day”, which brought together startups, industry leaders, and research institutions from both countries to accelerate innovation and commercialisation in the space ecosystem.
The partnership signals a shift from basic collaboration to deeper industry-level engagement, with both sides focusing on joint projects, technology exchange, and private-sector participation.
This move is part of a broader India–South Korea strategic roadmap for 2026–2030, which emphasizes emerging technologies, innovation, and future-ready industries as key pillars of bilateral cooperation.
With Bengaluru emerging as a global aerospace hub, the initiative is expected to boost opportunities for startups and strengthen both nations’ positions in the rapidly evolving global space economy.
