Rapido has introduced a new independent food delivery app called Ownly, marking its entry into the food delivery space with a different model from existing platforms. Like its ride-hailing service approach, Ownly operates as a zero-commission platform, meaning restaurants are not charged any commission fees.
The company says the app does not include hidden charges, and users only pay for the food and delivery cost. According to Aravind Sanka, founder of Ownly and Rapido, the model is designed to make the experience more transparent and fair for both restaurants and customers, while also improving overall value in the system.
