A Foxconn delegation met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday (October 13, 2025) to announce a major investment of ₹15,000 crore in the State. The company also unveiled plans to create 14,000 engineering jobs and establish a dedicated Foxconn Desk at Guidance Tamil Nadu, the State’s nodal agency for investment promotion.

Led by Robert Wu, Foxconn’s India representative and senior global executive, the delegation included top company officials and was joined by Minister for Industries T.R.B. Rajaa. According to an official release, the meeting marks a significant step in Foxconn’s strategic engagement with Tamil Nadu, reinforcing the State’s reputation as a hub for high-value manufacturing, exports, and engineering innovation.
As part of the announcement, Foxconn said it would set up the first-ever Foxconn Desk in India at Guidance Tamil Nadu to streamline project coordination, investor facilitation, and mission-mode execution. The company emphasized that the investment would accelerate emerging technology manufacturing and strengthen its collaboration with the State.
The creation of 14,000 new jobs will focus on engineering graduates and highly skilled youth, reflecting Foxconn’s shift toward value-added manufacturing, R&D integration, and technology-led operations in Tamil Nadu.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to making Tamil Nadu a global electronics and advanced manufacturing hub, deeply integrated into international supply chains.
“Thank you Foxconn for choosing Tamil Nadu and shaping the future with us. This marks another milestone in our journey to make Tamil Nadu the manufacturing and innovation hub of South Asia,” Stalin said in a post on X.
