Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu officially inaugurated the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) on August 20, 2025, at Mayuri Tech Park in Amaravati. The launch event, held in presence of Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, also simultaneously unveiled five regional “spoke” centres in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Tirupati, and Anantapur, all virtually connected to the Amaravati hub.

The new RTIH spans roughly 50,000 square feet and is being positioned to become a global benchmark for deep tech, AI, sustainable solutions, and inclusive innovation. The initiative is named as a tribute to the late Ratan Tata and his legacy of humility, philanthropy, and national service.
CM Naidu emphasized the “hub and spoke” model, with Amaravati serving as the central innovation node and five regional centres acting as catalysts for local entrepreneurship and skill development. Corporate leaders have been tapped to mentor these centres: JSW (Anantapur), Greenko (Rajahmundry), MEIL (Vijayawada), Adani Group (Tirupati), and GMR Group (Visakhapatnam).
Highlighting the innovation surge in the state, Naidu announced the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society had achieved a Guinness World Record by registering over 167,000 innovations and startups in just 24 hours.
He reiterated his ambitious “One Family–One Entrepreneur” vision, aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship at the grassroots level and generating wealth to support state welfare.
Tata Group Chairman Chandrasekaran praised the initiative, stating: “Through these innovation centers, solutions can be found for issues at local, regional, national, and international levels,” and expressed confidence that the hub would become a confluence of diverse ideas.
Minister Nara Lokesh underscored the importance of youth-led innovation and pledged collaboration with industry and academia to transform Andhra Pradesh into the “Innovation Valley of India.”
With an ambitious roadmap to nurture startups across agritech, healthcare, defense, and beyond, RTIH reflects Andhra Pradesh’s strategic push to harness its demographic dividend, technological progress, and entrepreneurial spirit in reshaping its economic future.
